Power distribution, cooling, fire controls and physical access support the hardware layer. Ask for evidence relevant to the project rather than inferring capability from location.
Networks connect workloads to users
Carriers, routing, port capacity and transfer policy shape connectivity. Test latency and path quality from actual audience locations because national distance alone is not enough.
Compute services create different boundaries
VPS allocates virtual resources, dedicated hosting assigns a physical server, and colocation houses customer-owned hardware. Each model changes isolation, control and responsibility.
Operations turn components into reliability
Monitoring, incident response, maintenance, backups and restoration procedures determine how the service behaves during change or failure. Document which party owns each procedure.
Request evidence for each infrastructure requirement
Separate facility questions from network and server questions. Facility requirements concern power, cooling and physical access. Network requirements concern routing, uplinks and traffic delivery. Server requirements concern resource isolation, hardware configuration and remote access. A claim about one layer does not establish the others.
Prepare a short requirements matrix with a requested capability, the evidence needed and its importance to the application. Ask for documentation of any certification, redundancy or service-level commitment you rely on. Keep the response with the deployment record and define what happens when an infrastructure dependency fails.
