Conversions use live mid-market data from CoinGecko and are indicative only. The exact amount payable, the deposit address and the network to use are confirmed on the payment page at checkout, where the rate is locked for the duration of the payment window. Always send the exact amount shown at checkout, on the network specified. See crypto payment options for supported coins and settlement details.

Hosting payment estimates

Blockchain settlement

Coin, token, and network are separate payment attributes

A token such as USDT or USDC can exist on several blockchains. The asset ticker alone does not identify the correct transfer route. Always use the exact network displayed at checkout and include any required destination tag or memo.

  • Verify the blockchain network before sending.
  • Copy the checkout address carefully.
  • Include the required memo or destination tag.
  • Send the exact checkout amount before the quote expires.

Transaction cost

Network fees are not included in the estimate

The calculator converts the invoice value using a market rate. Wallet withdrawal fees, exchange fees, blockchain miner fees, gas costs, spreads, and payment-processor adjustments may be separate. Configure the transfer so the receiving address gets the full amount requested at checkout.

Two-way conversion

Estimate fiat-to-crypto or crypto-to-fiat value

The swap control changes the conversion direction. Fiat-to-crypto estimates how much digital currency may be required for an invoice. Crypto-to-fiat estimates the current fiat value of a selected crypto amount. Neither direction executes a trade or payment.

Preguntas frecuentes

Crypto hosting calculator FAQ

Answers about calculating Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments for VPS hosting, dedicated servers, Swiss hosting invoices, live rates, checkout quotes, fees, networks, and settlement.

What is a crypto hosting payment calculator?

A crypto hosting payment calculator estimates the digital-asset amount corresponding to a VPS, dedicated server, streaming server, VPN, colocation, or other hosting invoice. This tool supports USD, EUR, CHF, and GBP plus more than 100 cryptocurrency and token entries. It does not execute a trade, create an order, or send a blockchain transaction.

Can I calculate the Bitcoin price of a VPS hosting plan?

Yes. Enter the VPS plan price in its listed invoice currency, select Bitcoin, and calculate the estimated BTC amount. For example, you can enter the monthly price of an entry VPS, production VPS, Tor VPS, high-vCPU VPS, or storage VPS. The checkout quote remains final.

Can I estimate a dedicated server invoice in USDT or USDC?

Yes. Enter the dedicated server invoice total, select USDT or USDC, and compare the estimated token amount. At checkout, verify the exact token, blockchain network, wallet address, and amount because stablecoins can operate on multiple networks.

Does the calculator show which SwissHosting plans accept crypto?

The calculator estimates value; it does not determine checkout eligibility. Review the current payment options and the selected service order page to confirm which assets and networks are available for that invoice.

Where do the calculator exchange rates come from?

The calculator requests public mid-market price data from the CoinGecko simple-price API. The displayed rate is informational and may differ from an exchange, wallet provider, payment processor, or the final checkout quote.

How often does the exchange rate update?

A retrieved quote is reused for approximately 60 seconds to reduce unnecessary API requests. After a successful calculation, the tool schedules an automatic refresh about every 60 seconds while the browser tab remains visible. The Refresh rate button can request a new quote manually.

Is the amount shown by the calculator the exact amount I must send?

No. It is an estimate based on a live market rate. The exact payable amount is shown at checkout, where the payment quote may be locked for a limited period. Always send the amount shown by the checkout system rather than relying only on the calculator result.

Does the calculator include blockchain or wallet fees?

No. Miner fees, gas fees, exchange withdrawal fees, wallet fees, spreads, and processor charges are separate from the market conversion. Make sure the receiving address receives the full amount requested at checkout.

Why does the blockchain network matter for USDT, USDC, and other tokens?

The same token can be issued on multiple networks. A USDT payment might use Ethereum, Tron, or another supported blockchain, depending on checkout. Sending a token through the wrong network can delay or permanently lose the funds. Use only the network displayed on the payment page.

What are destination tags and memos?

Some payment addresses require an additional identifier, such as an XRP destination tag or a memo for another network. The address may be shared by multiple customers, and the tag identifies your payment. When checkout displays a tag or memo, include it exactly.

Why can the calculator show a rate-limit error?

The tool uses a public rate service with request limits. Too many requests in a short period can return a temporary rate-limit response. Wait briefly and use Refresh rate again. The calculator also caches recent quotes to reduce this problem.

Why is no rate available for a selected coin and currency?

The market-data provider may not return a price for every asset and fiat pair at every moment. Try another fiat currency, select another cryptocurrency, or refresh later. Asset identifiers and market coverage may also change over time.

Can I convert cryptocurrency back into fiat with the tool?

Yes. Use the swap-direction button to enter a crypto amount and estimate its current value in USD, EUR, CHF, or GBP. This remains an informational calculation and does not sell or exchange the cryptocurrency.

Does using cryptocurrency make a hosting purchase anonymous?

Not automatically. Public blockchains can expose transaction details, and exchanges, wallets, processors, account records, fraud controls, or verification procedures may connect information to a payment. Cryptocurrency provides a different settlement method, not a universal guarantee of anonymity.

Which cryptocurrency should I use for a hosting invoice?

Choose an asset and network supported by the checkout page and by your wallet or exchange. Consider network availability, fees, confirmation time, price volatility, and whether a memo or destination tag is required. Stablecoins may reduce short-term price movement, but their network and issuer risks still differ.

Can I copy the calculated crypto amount?

Yes. In fiat-to-crypto mode, the Copy amount button copies the estimated cryptocurrency quantity. Treat it as a convenience for comparison only. Verify and copy the final amount from checkout before sending funds.

Does SwissHosting store my calculator amount or selected currency?

The calculator stores the selected coin, fiat currency, and conversion direction in the browser's local storage so the preferences can be restored. The entered amount is not included in that saved preference object. Browser privacy settings may prevent local storage from working.

Ready to pay?

Calculate a hosting price in crypto, then confirm the transaction at checkout

Compare a VPS, dedicated server, or other SwissHosting invoice in crypto, then review supported payment methods, network requirements, and the final checkout quote before sending funds.
